Why THREE?


“Triad, triplet, triune…”


These are vital numbers in our daily life routine. YES! The number three (3) is important because of its conciseness and compactness. Thus, it’s a good endeavor to know how the Bible values this precious number.


  1. Three days and nights that Jesus will be in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40)

  2. Three witnesses' testimony is needed for a valid church discipline (Matthew 18:16)

  3. Three witnesses assures the presence of the Lord (Matthew 18:20)

  4. Three days the Lord will rebuild the Temple (Matthew 26:61)

  5. After Three days the Lord will rise from death (Matthew 27:63)

  6. After Peter’s pentecostal message Three thousand accepted it (Acts 2:41)

  7. Three days apostle Paul was blind (Acts 9:9)

  8. In a synagogue in Ephesus Paul spoke Three days persuasively about the Kingdom of God (Acts 19:8)

  9. Three times Paul prayed to the Lord to take out his thorn in the flesh (2 Corinthians 12:8)

  10. The testimony of Three witnesses establishes a strong case for a particular church discipline (2 Corinthians 13:1)

  11. Three testifies to the Sonship of Christ (1 John 5:7)

  12. Three angels sounded the trumpet blast communicating that the inhabitants of the earth will be judged

  13. Three of the 12 disciples belong to Jesus’ Inner Circle (Matthew 17:1)

That’s the reason why three is an important PJJ number.
